Travel Trailers

Well we have changed our minds again! (it has happened quite a lot over the last few months!) But instead of a Class C, we are going to buy a travel trailer. Why? Well because we have 3 boys and they are all teenagers and I want to make sure that they all feel as though they have their own space. So, I found this layout and fell in love!

I believe that this one is from Keystone. They would all have their own beds and the bottom bunks on both sides fold down for a couch. They also have their own entertainment system back there, which is awesome because they are serious gamers. It also affords my husband and I privacy, which is definitely important!

Another positive to choosing a travel trailer is price! I have found Class C bunkhouses to be upwards of 50,000. But I have looked at travel trailers for half that price. A lower price means a lower down payment and lower monthly payments, which is why we started on this journey in the first place. I don’t want the same situation in our RV as we had in our house, not able to pay the bills on time. I have left that anxiety behind and trying to move forward to do something different. Something stress-free.

I was also thinking, and I could be wrong, that a travel trailer is easier for someone who is new to RV’s. It might be easier for us to figure out how it works. Again, feel free to let me know if you know differently, I need all the information I can get my hands on before we actually buy one. But, I do know this, I would rather tow a travel trailer with our truck than have to buy a smaller car to tow behind a Motorized RV. It just makes more sense right now. I will probably change my mind a million times in the next couple months though! LOL

No matter what we actually buy, I am looking so forward to moving in and hitting the road! Happy Trails!
